There, you can see all the latest and greatest capabilities. You can also access some of Firefly&#8217;s features in Photoshop, Express, Adobe Stock, InDesign, and Illustrator. For example, in Photoshop, you can use Firefly to replace an image&#8217;s background with a completely new one that you describe in words. This article focuses on the standalone version of Firefly on the web.    <\/p>\n\n<p>Because generative AI is a computationally intensive activity that requires processing on Adobe servers, you don&#8217;t get unlimited access to it with your Creative Cloud subscription. Instead, your subscription comes with a generation credit. Most generation processes use one credit for standard images up to 2000 x 2000 pixels.   <\/p>\n\n<p>In terms of specifications, you need ChromeOS, macOS 12 or later, or Windows 10 or Windows 11 to run Firefly. Adobe doesn&#8217;t list any CPU or graphics requirements, just that you have at least 4GB of RAM. The $4.99 per month (or $49.99 per year) Firefly Premium plan increases your image credits to 100, removes watermarks, and gives you 100GB of online storage for your images. There&#8217;s the $9.99 per month (or $99.99 per year) Adobe Express Premium plan, which gives you 250 credits and all Express Premium features like templates and animation effects.        <\/p>\n\n<p>Firefly charges the lowest monthly price for a premium account among similar services. For comparison, ChatGPT doesn&#8217;t offer image generation in its free account; it requires a $20 per month Plus account. Midjourney doesn&#8217;t have a free plan at all, and its basic plan ($10 per month or $96 per year) only allows you to have three concurrent tasks running and 10 tasks in a queue at any given time, along with other limitations that limit the speed at which the AI \u200b\u200bcan create your artwork. OpenArt gives you 50 image credits for free and charges $12 per month or $72 per year for its entry-level plan.     <\/p>\n\n<p>Stable Diffusion has a free plan with ads, watermarks, and non-priority processing, or you can pay $84 per year for a Pro account, which removes ads and watermarks and gives you 2,000 fast image generation. Meta AI generates images for free if you log in with your Facebook account. Which of these is the better value? One of the most important is the ability to specify the aspect ratio. Firefly is better than Gemini, Meta AI, and Copilot because you can choose to generate widescreen or portrait images, while other programs only produce square images. Firefly has an aspect ratio setting, with options for landscape (4:3), portrait (3:4), square, and widescreen (16:9).       <\/p>\n\n<p>These options are more useful than the aspect ratio options in Stable Diffusion, which don&#8217;t include these standard dimensions. ChatGPT Pro with Dall-E 3, OpenArt.ai, Stable Diffusion, and Midjourney allow you to specify different aspect ratios, including widescreen. ChatGPT\/Dall-E allows you to change the aspect ratio directly in the chat prompt, and OpenArt includes all standard aspect ratios.     <\/p>\n\n<p>When creating images in Firefly, you can also select whether you want a Portrait or Art style and apply different effects to your image. You can choose from a good range of effects, such as bokeh, pixelation, hyperrealism, and vintage. If you choose Portrait style, you get more settings specific to that type of image, including aperture, shutter speed, and field of view (wide-angle or telephoto, for example). In Art style, a good range of media and textures are available in categories such as acrylic, oil, watercolor, pencil, architectural drawing, 3D, dramatic lighting, and neon, to name a few.                 <\/p>\n\n<p>Firefly has a suggestion slider that attempts to fill out a prompt if you enter just one or two words. Suggestions can be helpful when you need ideas for your image. However, it does allow you to upload an image to use as a reference to establish the style or &#8220;structure&#8221; of the result. However, you cannot blend two images as you can with Midjourney. Stable Diffusion has three clear options for using your content: Copy Contour, Copy Position, and Sketch to Image. Midjourney also generates text you put in quotes, but OpenArt.ai is completely uninterested in the text and does nothing when you ask it to add some text.
